Kangxi Six-Characters Mark
The rounded sides rising from a short foot to a gently everted rim,the exterior was exquisitely painted with jasminum flowers in January. The interior and base dressed with a pale white glaze. The reverse inscribed with a fourteen-character poem in ‘kaishu’,and a seal mark,the base inscribed in underglaze-blue with a six-character mark within double circles.

Each delicately potted and surmounted on a short foot,the steep sides rising towards a gently everted rim,the exterior intricately painted with design of flowers of twelve months respectively,jasminum in January,apricot flowers in February,peach blossom in March,peony in April,pomegranate blossom in May,lotus in June,orchid in July,sweet osmanthus in August,chrysanthemum in September,monthly rose in October,plum blossom in November and narcissus in December. The reverse inscribed with a ten-character poem in ‘kaishu’,and a seal mark,the base inscribed in underglaze-blue with a six-character mark within double circles.
